We Needs Must Be Divided In The Tomb Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABCA DDDDDD

We needs must be divided in the tombA
For I would die among the hills of SpainB
And o'er the treeless melancholy plainB
Await the coming of the final gloomA
But thou O pitiful wilt find scant roomA
Among thy kindred by the northern mainB
And fade into the drifting mist againC
The hemlocks' shadow or the pines' perfumeA
-
Let gallants lie beside their ladies' dustD
In one cold grave with mortal love inurnedD
Let the sea part our ashes if it mustD
The souls fled thence which love immortal burnedD
For they were wedded without bond of lustD
And nothing of our heart to earth returnedD
