To Catharine Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFH IJIJ

I'll love thee as long as I liveA
Whate'er thy condition may beB
All else but my life would I giveC
That thou wast as partial to meB
-
I love thee because thou art fairD
And fancy no other besideE
I languish thy pleasures to shareD
Whatever my life may betideE
-
I'll love thee when youth's vital beamF
Grows dim on the visage of caresG
And trace back on time's rapid streamF
Thy beauty when sinking in yearsH
-
Though nature no longer is gayI
With blooms which the simple adoreJ
Let virtue forbid me to sayI
That Cath'rine is lovely no moreJ
