Stanzas: When A Man Hath No Freedom Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD

When a man hath no freedom to fight for at homeA
Let him combat for that of his neighboursB
Let him think of the glories of Greece and of RomeA
And get knock'd on the head for his laboursB
To do good to mankind is the chivalrous planC
And is always as nobly requitedD
Then battle for freedom wherever you canC
And if not shot or hang'd you'll get knightedD
