Stanzas To Jessy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGHG IJIJ GKGK BLBL MNMN OCOC

There is a mystic thread of lifeA
So dearly wreath'd with mine aloneB
That Destiny's relentless knifeA
At once must sever both or noneC
-
There is a Form on which these eyesD
Have fondly gazed with such delightE
By day that Form their joy suppliesD
And Dreams restore it through the nightE
-
There is a Voice whose tones inspireF
Such softened feelings in my breastG
I would not hear a Seraph ChoirH
Unless that voice could join the restG
-
There is a Face whose Blushes tellI
Affection's tale upon the cheekJ
But pallid at our fond farewellI
Proclaims more love than words can speakJ
-
There is a Lip which mine has prestG
But none had ever prest beforeK
It vowed to make me sweetly blestG
That mine alone should press it moreK
-
There is a Bosom all my ownB
Has pillow'd oft this aching headL
A Mouth which smiles on me aloneB
An Eye whose tears with mine are shedL
-
There are two Hearts whose movements thrillM
In unison so closely sweetN
That Pulse to Pulse responsive stillM
They Both must heave or cease to beatN
-
There are two Souls whose equal flowO
In gentle stream so calmly runC
That when they part they part ah noO
They cannot part those Souls are OneC
