Rhyme Scheme: ABCABC DEFDEG HIJHIK LMNOMN PQOPQC ARSATS

Remind me not remind me notA
Of those beloved those vanish'd hoursB
When all my soul was given to theeC
Hours that may never be forgotA
Till Time unnerves our vital powersB
And thou and I shall cease to beC
-
Can I forget canst thou forgetD
When playing with thy golden hairE
How quick thy fluttering heart did moveF
Oh by my soul I see thee yetD
With eyes so languid breast so fairE
And lips though silent breathing loveG
-
When thus reclining on my breastH
Those eyes threw back a glance so sweetI
As half reproach'd yet rais'd desireJ
And still we near and nearer prestH
And still our glowing lips would meetI
As if in kisses to expireK
-
And then those pensive eyes would closeL
And bid their lids each other seekM
Veiling the azure orbs belowN
While their long lashes' darken'd glossO
Seem'd stealing o'er thy brilliant cheekM
Like raven's plumage smooth'd on snowN
-
I dreamt last night our love return'dP
And sooth to say that very dreamQ
Was sweeter in its phantasyO
Than if for other hearts I burn'dP
For eyes that ne'er like thine could beamQ
In Rapture's wild realityC
-
Then tell me not remind me notA
Of hours which though for ever goneR
Can still a pleasing dream restoreS
Till Thou and I shall be forgotA
And senseless as the mouldering stoneT
Which tells that we shall be no moreS
