On Parting Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFG HIHI JEJE K

The kiss dear maid thy lip has leftA
Shall never part from mineB
Till happier hours restore the giftC
Untainted back to thineB
-
Thy parting glance which fondly beamsD
An equal love may seeE
The tear that from thing eyelid streamsD
Can weep no change in meE
-
I ask no pledge to make me blestF
In gazing when aloneG
Nor one memorial for a breastF
Whose thoughts are all thine ownG
-
Nor need I write to tell the taleH
My pen were doubly weakI
Oh what can idle words availH
Unless the heart could speakI
-
By day or night in weal or woeJ
That heart no longer freeE
Must bear the love it cannot showJ
And silent ache for theeE
-
MarchK
