Impromptu, In Reply To A Friend Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD

When from the heart where Sorrow sitsA
Her dusky shadow mounts too highB
And o'er the changing aspect flitsA
And clouds the brow or fills the eyeB
Heed not that gloom which soon shall sinkC
My thoughts their dungeon know too wellD
Back to my breast the wanderers shrinkC
And droop within their silent cellD
