From The Prometheus Vinctus Of Aeschylus Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDD EFEFGGHH

Great Jove to whose almighty throneA
Both gods and mortals homage payB
Ne'er may my soul thy power disownA
Thy dread behests ne'er disobeyB
Oft shall the sacred victim fallC
In sea girt Ocean's mossy hallC
My voice shall raise no impious strainD
'Gainst him who rules the sky and azure mainD
-
How different now thy joyless fateE
Since first Hesione thy brideF
When placed aloft in godlike stateE
The blushing beauty by the sideF
Thou sat'st while reverend Ocean smiledG
And mirthful strains the hours beguiledG
The Nymphs and Tritons dances aroundH
Nor yet thy doom was fix'd nor Jove relentless frown'dH
