Farewell! If Ever Fondest Prayer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCBC BDBEDFDC

Farewell if ever fondest prayerA
For other's weal avail'd on highB
Mine will not all be lost in airA
But waft thy name beyond the skyB
Twere vain to speak to weep to sighB
Oh more than tears of blood can tellC
When wrung from guilt's expiring eyeB
Are in that word Farewell FarewellC
-
These lips are mute these eyes are dryB
But in my breast and in my brainD
Awake the pangs that pass not byB
The thought that ne'er shall sleep againE
My soul nor deigns nor dares complainD
Though grief and passion there rebelF
I only know we loved in vainD
I only feel Farewell FarewellC
