Bright Be The Place Of Thy Soul! Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB BCBC DCDC CECE

Bright be the place of thy soulA
No lovelier spirit than thineB
E'er burst from its mortal controlA
In the orbs of the blessed to shineB
-
On earth thou wert all but divineB
As thy soul shall immortally beC
And our sorrow may cease to repineB
When we know that thy God is with theeC
-
Light be the turf of thy tombD
May its verdure like emeralds beC
There should not be the shadow of gloomD
In aught that reminds us of theeC
-
Young flowers and an evergreen treeC
May spring from the spot of thy restE
But nor cypress nor yew let us seeC
For why should we mourn for the blestE
