Adieu, Adieu! My Native Shore Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGHGI

Adieu adieu my native shoreA
Fades o'ver the waters blueB
The night winds sigh the breakers roarA
And shrieks the wild sea mewB
Yon sun that sets upon the seaC
We follow in his flightD
Farewell awhile to him and theeC
My native Land Good NightD
A few short hours and he will riseE
To give the morrow birthF
And I shall hail the main and skiesE
But not my mother earthF
Deserted is my own good hallG
Its hearth is desolateH
Wild weeds are gathering on the wallG
My dog howls at the gateI
