Sonnet Vii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCCCDDDDDD

No haste but good where wisdom makes the wayA
For proof whereof behold the simple snailB
Who sees the soldier's carcass cast awayA
With hot assault the Castle to assailB
By line and leisure climbs the wallC
And wins the turret's top more cunninglyC
Than doughty Dick who lost his life and allC
With hoisting up his head so hastilyC
The swiftest bitch brings forth the blindest whelpsD
The hottest Fevers coldest cramps ensueD
The nakedest need hath ever latest helpsD
With Nevil then I find this proverb trueD
That Haste makes waste and therefore still I sayD
No haste but good where wisdom makes the wayD
