For That He Looked Not Upon Her Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCEFGFGHH

YOU must not wonder though you think it strangeA
To see me hold my louring head so lowB
And that mine eyes take no delight to rangeA
About the gleams which on your face do growB
The mouse which once hath broken out of trapC
Is seldom 'ticed with the trustless baitD
But lies aloof for fear of more mishapC
And feedeth still in doubt of deep deceitE
The scorched fly which once hath 'scaped the flameF
Will hardly come again to play with fireG
Whereby I learn that grievous is the gameF
Which follows fancy dazzled by desireG
So that I wink or else hold down my headH
Because your blazing eyes my bale have bredH
