Poet's note: The poem "Island of Tumor" is the analysis that charactering on two main current problems facing United Nations and World at all which are "Geopolitical Aggression" and the spread of a pandemic virus "Covid-19".
The poem is written in a form of reckoning what the tragedy has been and the core characteristics type of elegy that mourns the tragedy of societies. It’s very sentimental in approach. Also the poem disclosed the identity of the causes of these two major tribulations which is perhaps human made problem but later grew wings which inventor can never curb anymore.
The poem suggested what the solution might be, which is "Love and Unity." i.e. if all nations could unite to fight this battle against the virus and aggression without discrimination or pecunious gain this World will be a better place for everyone.
Consequently, the poem is presented with a lot of poetic devices such as Symbolism, Pun, Alliteration, Allusion, Oxymoron, Synecdoche, Metaphor, Simile, Personification, Apostrophe and Imagery, et cetera.
In line 16 the word "cambio" is an Italian word means Change.
And line 38 "Laslas" is a typical form of pun means Last Last, at last precisely.
