There Is A Spell In Autumn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDF DDDD

There is a spell in autumn earlyA
One all too brief of an enchantment rareB
The nights are radiant and pearlyA
The days pellucid crystal clearC
-
Where played the sickle and fell the corn a mellowD
A warm and breathless stillness reigns supremeE
Spanning the brown and idle furrowD
A dainty thread of cobweb gleamsF
-
The birds have flown we hear no more their clamourD
But winter's angry winds not soon will start to blowD
Upon the empty fields there pours the azure glowD
Of skies that have not lost the warmth of summerD
