The Sadness Gripped My Heart Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEFG HIJC

The sadness gripped my heart and dimlyA
Came the remembrance of the oldB
When all was going well and simplyA
And life a dream of the real worldC
-
But here the world is lost and firedD
All's topsy turvy run and felledE
In Heaven Holly God expiredF
And Satan croaked in the HellG
-
They live lost any life's intentionsH
Elsewhere is grumbling fight and fraudI
If a bit of love weren't in the questionJ
Long time ago I'd leave the worldC
