Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCCD EEFGG HHH IIJJ DKLC MNO PQ

The world is at stakeA
My mind won't take a breakA
Oh dear mind if you couldB
go back to the days when your thoughts were goodB
-
The thoughts that cling to my mindC
showing me peace is hard to findC
I wonder could I have found it if I was blindC
The images storming my brain are hard to set asideD
-
Lucky are you who think of the sky and butterfliesE
Some think of pain betrayal and liesE
Others worseF
But lucky are you to even think of somethingG
Others its total bewilderingG
-
The chains that bind one is mentalH
Its never physicalH
I still think is it bad to be emotionalH
-
People wanting you to break free from this mind prisonI
But you don't want to because you don't have a reasonI
You feel safer when you in thereJ
Because you don't know what you'll find else whereJ
-
The world is too big and so wideD
Am afraid of been lost like a needle in the desertK
Yet not realizing am already lostL
Lost in my own mindC
-
The mind is more wide than the world isM
A dangerous place to lose yourselfN
Almost impossible to get outO
-
But then I stop and thinkP
Am alive so thank youQ
