Truth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAA BBACD ECDEI SAW Truth on the mountains golden shod | A |
With day dawn girt about with skies | B |
Of azure mist half veiling from man's eyes | B |
Her silent face and gaze upturned to God | A |
Beneath were clouded steeps of shale and sod | A |
- | |
Tracked deviously by feet that human wise | B |
Toiled upward but toiled vainly towards the prize | B |
Some following shunning some where others trod | A |
Yet in the darkness oft there came I see | C |
From eager hearts I met Behold men cried | D |
- | |
Yet variously such are Truth's features high | E |
Self's shadow form the soul's intensity | C |
Cast on the mist not such the face I spied | D |
Calm sovereign silent upturned 'midst the sky | E |
