Truth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAA BBACD ECDE

I SAW Truth on the mountains golden shodA
With day dawn girt about with skiesB
Of azure mist half veiling from man's eyesB
Her silent face and gaze upturned to GodA
Beneath were clouded steeps of shale and sodA
-
Tracked deviously by feet that human wiseB
Toiled upward but toiled vainly towards the prizeB
Some following shunning some where others trodA
Yet in the darkness oft there came I seeC
From eager hearts I met Behold men criedD
-
Yet variously such are Truth's features highE
Self's shadow form the soul's intensityC
Cast on the mist not such the face I spiedD
Calm sovereign silent upturned 'midst the skyE
