Inscription Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE FGHAI JKLMN OPQ

DAY after dayA
As I have wandered thro' the fields of lifeB
Gay happy fields bright with the sun and skyC
Flower after flowerD
Has bloomed beside my pathE
-
And I have gathered them a long loved handfulF
Which I offer nowG
To the unpitying cruel laughing worldH
And some are gayA
Sparkling with joy and the bright sun of hopeI
-
And some are sadJ
Dipped in the crimson of the setting sunK
Or blasted by the cold of winter windsL
Buy all the rootsM
Are down far down within the spirit's depthsN
-
Amid the voiceless shadows of the soulO
And each has sprungP
From the warm life blood throbbing in my heartQ
