Across The Sea Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAA CCAAD AADA

THE confines of our being are not theseA
White limbs of sense Our true selves broader areB
And higher than the path of furthest starB
Beyond the reach of sense each hears and seesA
And feels The root alone of giant treesA
-
Touches the earth their branches pierce to heavenC
To day Here There are to the body givenC
Our spirits watch among the eternitiesA
Dearest our beings can mingle and our lipsA
Kiss off the dark world sadness from the soulD
-
Our hands can clasp our eyes return love's gazeA
Tho' waste lands moan between where crimson dipsA
The westering sun and tho' wide oceans rollD
Tho' being so far we breathe in different daysA
