Thoughts In A Far Country Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDF GHGH IJIJ AKAK

I rise and applaud in the patriot mannerA
Whenever as often I hearB
The palpitanat strains of The Star Spangled BannerA
I shout and cheerC
-
And also to show my unbound devotionD
I jump to my feet with a WheeE
Whenever Columbia the Gem of the OceanD
Is played near meF
-
My fervour's so hot and my ardour so searingG
I'm hoarse for a couple of daysH
You've heard me I'm positive joyously cheeringG
The MarsaillesH
-
I holler for Dixie I go off my noodleI
I whistle I pound and I stampJ
Whenever an orchestra plays Yankee DoodleI
Or Tramp Tramp TrampJ
-
But if you would enter my confidence readerA
Know that I'd go clean off my domeK
And madly embrace any orchestra leaderA
For Home Sweet HomeK
