Those Two Boys Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JBKB LLMM

WHEN Bill was a lad he was terribly badA
He worried his parents a lotB
He'd lie and he'd swear and pull little girls' hairC
His boyhood was naught but a blotB
-
At play and in school he would fracture each ruleD
In mischief from autumn to springE
And the villagers knew when to manhood he grewF
He would never amount to a thingE
-
When Jim was a child he was not very wildG
He was known as a good little boyH
He was honest and bright and the teacher's delightI
To his mother and father a joyH
-
All the neighbors were sure that his virtue'd endureJ
That his life would be free of a spotB
They were certain that Jim had a great head on himK
And that Jim would amount to a lotB
-
And Jim grew to manhood and honor and fameL
And bears a good nameL
While Bill is shut up in a dark prison cellM
You never can tellM
