Watchman watchman what of the nightA
What of the night to tellB
The heavens are dark and never a lightA
But the far off flicker of HellB
But the steed is in the stallC
UnsleepingD
And the warder on the wallC
Watch keepingD
And the granary is storedE
And ready gun and swordE
In the name of the LordE
All's WellB
-
-
Watchman watchman what of the nightA
What of the night to tellB
The wind blows fierce and the foam flies whiteA
And the waters moan and swellB
But the foes to haven keepF
Safe hidingD
And our ships are on the deepF
Sure ridingD
And the gallant hearts on boardE
Keep ceaseless watch and wardE
In the name of the LordE
All's WellB
-
-
Watchman watchman what of the nightA
What of the night to tellB
There are widows weeping and babes affrightA
And a ceaseless burial bellB
But the hand that holds the gunG
Still shakes notA
And the line drops one by oneG
Yet breaks notA
Of the blood so nobly pouredA
There shall surely be rewardA
In the name of the LordA
All's WellB
