Funerall Elegy Vii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAABCCDDEEFF

GOE glorious saint I knew 'twas not a shrineA
Of flesh could lodge so pure a soule as thineA
I saw it labour in a holy scorneA
Of living dust and ashes to be swomeB
A heavenly quirister it sigh'd and groan'dC
To be dissolv'd from mortall and enthron'dC
Among his fellow angels there to singD
Perpetuall anthems to his heavenly KingD
He was a stranger to his house of clayE
Scarce own'd it but that necessary stayE
Miscall'd it his and onely zeale did makeF
Him love the building for the builder's sakeF
