Lochanilaun Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCBBADEFDEF| This is the image of my last content | A |
| My soul shall be a little lonely lake | B |
| So hidden that no shadow of man may break | B |
| The folding of its mountain battlement | C |
| Only the beautiful and innocent | C |
| Whiteness of sea born cloud drooping to shake | B |
| Cool rain upon the reed beds or the wake | B |
| Of churn'd cloud in a howling wind's descent | A |
| For there shall be no terror in the night | D |
| When stars that I have loved are born in me | E |
| And cloudy darkness I will hold most fair | F |
| But this shall be the end of my delight | D |
| That you my lovely one may stoop and see | E |
| Your image in the mirrored beauty there | F |
