I have found again my wandering boy | D |

Like shadows that fade are my past alarms | G |
My boy is enclasped in his mother's arms | G |

The streets were not safe for my darling child | H |
Where sin with its evil attractions smiled | H |
But his wandering feet have ceased to roam | I |
And tonight my wayward boy is at home | I |

At home with the mother that loves him best | J |
With the hearts that have ached with sad unrest | J |
With the hearts that are thrilling with untold joy | D |
Because we have found our wandering boy | D |

And the blissful tears from my eyes that start | K |
Are the overflow of a happy heart | K |

I have trodden the streets in lonely grief | L |

But the depths of my heart tonight are stirred | M |
I know that the mother's prayer has been heard | M |
