They shall see Him in the crimson flushA
Of morning's early lightB
In the drapery of sunsetC
Around the couch of nightB
-
When the clouds drop down their fatnessD
In late and early rainE
They shall see His glorious footprintsD
On valley hill and plainE
-
They shall see Him when the cycloneF
Breathes terror through the landG
They shall see Him 'mid the murmursD
Of zephyrs soft and blandG
-
They shall see Him when the lips of healthH
Breath vigor through each nerveI
When pestilence clasps hands with deathJ
His purposes to serveI
-
They shall see Him when the trembling earthK
Is rocking to and froL
They shall see Him in the orderM
The seasons come and goL
-
They shall see Him when the storms of warN
Sweep wildly through the landG
When peace descends like gentle dewO
They still shall see His handG
-
They shall see Him in the cityP
Of gems and pearls of lightB
They shall see Him in his beautyP
And walk with Him in whiteB
-
To living founts their feet shall tendQ
And Christ shall be their guideR
Beloved of God their rest shall beP
In safety by His sideR
