Renewal Of Strength Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIJ KBLB

The prison house in which I liveA
Is falling to decayB
But God renews my spirit's strengthC
Within these walls of clayB
-
For me a dimness slowly creepsD
Around earth's fairest lightE
But heaven grows clearer to my viewF
And fairer to my sightE
-
It may be earth's sweet harmoniesG
Are duller to my earH
But music from my Father's houseI
Begins to float more nearJ
-
Then let the pillars of my homeK
Crumble and fall awayB
Lo God's dear love within my soulL
Renews it day by dayB
