The Parting Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEAEFGHGIJBJKLGL

'Twas a fit hour for partingA
For athwart the leaden skyB
The heavy clouds came gatheringA
And sailing gloomilyC
The earth was drunk with heaven's tearsD
And each moaning autumn breezeE
Shook the burthen of its weepingA
Off the overladen treesE
The waterfall rushed swollen downF
In the gloaming still and grayG
With a foam wreath on the angry browH
Of each wave that flashed awayG
My tears were mingling with the rainI
That fell so cold and fastJ
And my spirit felt thy low deep sighB
Through the wild and roaring blastJ
The beauty of the summer woodsK
Lay rustling round our feetL
And all fair things had passed awayG
'Twas an hour for parting meetL
