An Invitation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDDEEFFGGHHIIJJ

Come where the white waves dance along the shoreA
Of some lone isle lost in the unknown seasB
Whose golden sands by mortal foot beforeA
Were never printed where the fragrant breezeB
That never swept o'er land or flood that manC
Could call his own th' unearthly breeze shall fanC
Our mingled tresses with its odorous sighsD
Where the eternal heaven's blue sunny eyesD
Did ne'er look down on human shapes of earthE
Or aught of mortal mould and death doomed birthE
Come there with me and when we are aloneF
In that enchanted desert where the toneF
Of earthly voice or language yet did ne'erG
With its strange music startle the still airG
When clasped in thy upholding arms I standH
Upon that bright world's coral cradled strandH
When I can hide my face upon thy breastI
While thy heart answers mine together pressedI
Then fold me closer bend thy head above meJ
Listen and I will tell thee how I love theeJ
