An Entreaty Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FGHG IJIK CLCL MMMNNOOCCM

Once more once more into the sunny fieldsA
Oh let me strayB
And drink the joy that young existence yieldsA
In a bright cloudless dayB
-
Once more let me behold the summer skyC
With its blue eyesD
And join the wild wind's voice of melodyE
As far and free it fliesD
-
Once more once more oh let me stand and hearF
The gushing springG
As its bright drops fall starlike fast and clearH
And in the sunshine singG
-
Once more oh let me list the soft sweet breezeI
At evening mournJ
Let me oh let me say farewell to theseI
And to my task I gaily will returnK
-
Oh lovely earth oh blessed smiling skyC
Oh music of the wood the wave the windL
I do but linger till my ear and eyeC
Have traced ye on the tablets of my mindL
-
And then fare ye wellM
Bright hill and bosky dellM
Clear spring and haunted wellM
Night blowing flowers paleN
Smooth lawn and lonely valeN
Sleeping lakes and sparkling fountainsO
Shadowy woods and sheltering mountainsO
Flowery land and sunny skyC
And echo sweet my playmate shyC
Fare ye well fare ye wellM
