I stood caressing the waves
With my eyes,
Kissing the shore
With the lips of my feet.
I spread my arms as though
I was waiting on the waves to
Come whisk me for a swim.
My throat was arid like the
Skin of a dessert,
All I craved for, was a sip from the sea.
