The Thrush Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDDDD ECFC GDHD

Across the land came a magic wordA
When the earth was bare and lonelyB
And I sit and sing of the joyous springC
For 'twas I who heard I onlyB
Then dreams came by of the gladsome daysD
Of many a wayside posyD
For a crocus peeps where the wild rose sleepsD
And the willow wands are rosyD
-
Oh the time to be When the paths are greenE
When the primrose gold is lyingC
'Neath the hazel spray where the catkins swayF
And the dear south wind comes sighingC
-
My mate and I we shall build a nestG
So snug and warm and cosyD
When the kingcups gleam on the meadow streamH
Where the willow wands are rosyD
