Do You Remember That Night? Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDEDF AGHBIFAJ KLIGDMNJ IIOIPQID

Do you remember that nightA
That you were at the windowB
With neither hat nor glovesC
Nor coat to shelter youD
I reached out my hand to youD
And you ardently grasped itE
And I remained in converse with youD
Until the lark began to singF
-
Do you remember that nightA
That you and I wereG
At the foot of the rowan treeH
And the night drifting snowB
Your head on my breastI
And your pipe sweetly playingF
I little thought that nightA
Our ties of love would ever loosenJ
-
O beloved of my inmost heartK
Come some night and soonL
When my people are at restI
That we may talk togetherG
My arms shall encircle youD
While I relate my sad taleM
That it is your pleasant soft converseN
That has deprived me of heavenJ
-
The fire is unrakedI
The light extinguishedI
The key under the doorO
And do you softly draw itI
My mother is asleepP
And I am quite awakeQ
My fortune is in my handI
And I am ready to go with youD
