The Angel Of Thought Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCCBBCCBBBDEDE

Suggested by a Fra Angelico AngelA

-
Angel of Thought meseems God winged thee soB
And crowned thine head with passion fine as flameC
And made thy lifted face too pure for shameC
With eyes and brow a mirror to His glowB
And gave thy lips a golden trump that thoughB
Long years have passed since other angels cameC
To work the mighty wonders of His nameC
In God's own name and man's thyself shalt goB
Forever on strong pinions to and froB
And round the earth reverberating blowB
The mute world shaking music of the mindD
That thou might'st make as naught all space and timeE
And thrill in mystic oneness through mankindD
Yet dwell in each inviolate sublimeE
