Annunciation - From The Picture By Botticelli Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBCDEDEEE

Kneeling in prayer her spirit rapt aboveA
She meets with God Who bendeth brooding lowB
In vast compassion humanward and soB
There comes upon her life the power of LoveA
Rising behold with pinions like a doveA
An angel with a rod where row on rowB
Of chaliced lilies spill supernal glowB
Which all her thought to wonder mute doth moveC
Then falls upon the rapture of her soulD
Dimly some vision of GethsemaneE
Athwart the Resurrection's shining goalD
And with uplifted hand she pleads as OneE
Shall pray in night of darkest agonyE
This cup remove yet Lord Thy Will be doneE
