Autumnal Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAB CDDCD EFFGF HBBHB

Pale amber sunlight falls acrossA
The reddening October treesB
That hardly sway before a breezeB
As soft as summer summer's lossA
Seems little dear on days like theseB
-
Let misty autumn be our partC
The twilight of the year is sweetD
Where shadow and the darkness meetD
Our love a twilight of the heartC
Eludes a little time's deceitD
-
Are we not better and at homeE
In dreamful Autumn we who deemF
No harvest joy is worth a dreamF
A little while and night shall comeG
A little while then let us dreamF
-
Beyond the pearled horizons lieH
Winter and night awaiting theseB
We garner this poor hour of easeB
Until love turn from us and dieH
Beneath the drear November treesB
