Amantium Irae Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDE FGFGGBGB FHFHIGIG GGGGBJBJ

When this our rose is fadedA
And these our days are doneB
In lands profoundly shadedC
From tempest and from sunB
Ah once more come togetherD
Shall we forgive the pastE
And safe from worldly weatherD
Possess our souls at lastE
-
Or in our place of shadowsF
Shall still we stretch an handG
To green remembered meadowsF
Of that old pleasant landG
And vainly there foregatheredG
Shall we regret the sunB
The rose of love ungatheredG
The bay we have not wonB
-
Ah child the world's dark margesF
May lead to NevermoreH
The stately funeral bargesF
Sail for an unknown shoreH
And love we vow to morrowI
And pride we serve to dayG
What if they both should borrowI
Sad hues of yesterdayG
-
Our pride Ah should we miss itG
Or will it serve at lastG
Our anger if we kiss itG
Is like a sorrow pastG
While roses deck the gardenB
While yet the sun is highJ
Doff sorry pride for pardonB
Or ever love go byJ
