Wisdom Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGFG

Love wine and beauty and the springA
While wine is red and spring is hereB
And through the almond blossoms ringA
The dove like voices of thy DearC
-
Love wine and spring and beauty whileD
The wine hath flavour and spring masksE
Her treachery in so soft a smileD
That none may think of toil and tasksE
-
But when spring goes on hurrying feetF
Look not thy sorrow in the eyesG
And bless thy freedom from thy sweetF
This is the wisdom of the wiseG
