After Paul Verlaine-iii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BC BD EF EF GF GF

SPLEENA
-
Around were all the roses redB
The ivy all around was blackC
-
Dear so thou only move thine headB
Shall all mine old despairs awakeD
-
Too blue too tender was the skyE
The air too soft too green the seaF
-
Always I fear I know not whyE
Some lamentable flight from theeF
-
I am so tired of holly spraysG
And weary of the bright box treeF
-
Of all the endless country waysG
Of everything alas save theeF
