The Surgery Of The Sea Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEFG HIIIJ KLAM ANEO

At the furthermost reach of the seaA
where Atlantis sinks under the wake of the wavesB
I have come to heal my lifeC
-
I knit together like a broken armD
The salt fills the crevices of boneE
The sea takes all the fragments of my livesF
grinds them homeG
-
I wake up in a waterbed with youH
The sea is singing my skinI
sings against your skinI
The waves are all around us withinI
We sleep stuck to each other's saltJ
-
I am healing in your armsK
I am leaning to write without the loss of loveL
I am growing deeper lungs here by the seaA
The waves are knives they glitter cut cleanM
-
This is the sea's surgeryA
This is the cutting the healing bothN
This is where bright sunlight warms the boneE
fog erases us then makes us wholeO
