Bobbing in the waters of the wombA
little godhead ten toes ten fingersB
infinite hopeC
sails upside down through the worldD
-
My bones I know are only a cageE
for deathF
Meditating I can see my skullG
a death's headH
lit from withinI
by candlesJ
which are possibly the sunsK
of other galaxiesL
-
I know that deathF
is a movement toward lightM
a happy dreamN
from which you are loath to awakenO
a lover leftP
in a countryQ
to which you have no visaR
I know that the horses of the spiritS
are galloping galloping gallopingT
out of timeU
into the moment called NOWV
-
Why then do I careW
for this upside down BuddhaR
bobbling through the worldD
his toes his fingersB
alive with bloodX
that will only sing dieY
-
There is a light in my skullG
a light in hisZ
We meditate on our bones onlyQ
to let them blow awayA2
with fewer regretsB2
-
Flesh is merely a lessonO
We learn itC2
pass onD2
