Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCADEFGHIGJ HDKBLDMH NNCDOPQ RH BSTU

Rising in the morningA
like warm breadB
from a bedB
in AmericaC
the aromaC
of my bakingA
reaches youD
in ItalyE
rocking in your boatF
near the Ponte LongoG
cutting through the glitterH
of yesterday's moonlightI
on your sunstruckG
canalJ
-
My delicious bakerH
it is youD
who have madeK
this hot breadB
riseL
It is youD
who have split the loafM
and covered it with butterH
-
I prayed to the moonN
streaking the still lagoonN
with her skyblue mannaC
I prayed for youD
to sail into my lifeO
parting the watersP
making them wholeQ
-
And here you comeR
half captain half bakerH
-
the warm aroma of breadB
crossesS
the oceanT
we shareU
