Gardener Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CDEF GCHIDJDKBB LCMEB NOPQPRS CC TUV QC

I am in love with my wombA
jealous of itB
-
I cover it tenderlyC
with a little pink hatD
a sort of yarmulkeE
to protect it from menF
-
Then I listen for the gentle pingG
of the ovaryC
a sort of cupid's bowH
releasedI
I'm proud of thatD
the spot of bloodJ
in the little hatD
the egg so smallK
I cannot see itB
though I pray to itB
-
I imagine the insideL
of my womb to beC
the color of poppiesM
bougainvilleaE
though I've never seen itB
-
But I fear the barnacleN
which might latch onO
not let goP
fear the monsterQ
who might growP
to bite the flowersR
make them swell bleedS
-
So I keep my womb emptyC
full of possibilityC
-
Each monthT
The blood sheets downU
like good red rainV
-
I am the gardenerQ
Nothing grows without meC
