Dearest Man-in-the-moon Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCDEBFGHIJBDI AHFBKL MDMB NOAPQK

Dearest man in the moonA
ever since our lunch of cheeseB
moonjuiceB
on the far side of the sunC
I have walked the craters of New YorkD
a trail of slimeE
ribboning between my legsB
a phosphorescent bannerF
which is tied to youG
a beam of moonlightH
focused on your navelI
a silver chainJ
from which my body danglesB
my whole torso chimingD
like sleigh bells in a Russian novelI
-
Dearest man on the moonA
I used to fear moonlightH
thinking her my motherF
I used to dread nightsB
when the moon was fullK
I used to screamL
'Pull down the shade '-
because the moonface leered at meM
because I felt her mockingD
because my fear lived in meM
like rats in a wheel of cheeseB
-
You have eaten out my fearN
You have lickedO
the creamy inside of the moonA
You have kissedP
the final crescent of my heartQ
made it fullK
