Climbing You Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFB AGHIJ KBBLMBNOP ICQRS

I want to understand the steep thingA
that climbs ladders in your throatB
I can't make sense of youC
Everywhere I look you're thereD
a vast landmark a volcanoE
poking its head through the cloudsF
Gulliver sprawled across LilliputB
-
I climb into your eyes lookingA
The pupils are black painted stage flatsG
They can be pulled down like window shadesH
I switch on a light in your irisI
Your brain ticks like a bombJ
-
In your offhand mocking wayK
you've invited me into your chestB
Inside the blur that poses as your heartB
I'm supposed to go in with a torchL
or maybe hot water bottlesM
defrost it by handB
as one defrosts an old refrigeratorN
It will shudder sighO
the icebox to the insomniacP
-
Oh there's nothing like love between usI
You're the mountain I am climbing youC
If I fall you won't be all to blameQ
but you'll wait years maybeR
for the next doomed expeditionS
