I am not interestedA
in my bodyB
the part that stinksC
rots brings forthD
lifeE
the part that the groundF
swallowsG
death giving birthH
to deathI
all of lifeE
consideredJ
from the body'sK
point of viewL
is a downhill slideM
all our smallN
preservativesO
griefsO
cannot reverse the trendP
-
All sensualistsO
turn puritanQ
at the endP
turning up lust's soilR
finding bonesO
beneath the rich volcanicS
dirtT
-
Some sleep in shroudsO
some in coffinsO
some swear offU
procreation others turnV
vegetarian or worseO
they live on airW
on sheer platonic mealsO
of pure ideasO
once gluttons of the fleshX
they now becomeY
gourmets of the mindZ
How to resist thatA2
when the spacious earthH
swallows her childrenQ
so insatiablyR
when all our space age godsO
are groundedB2
only the moan of pleasureC2
or the rasp of painD2
can ever satisfyE2
the body's appetiteF2
-
yet my bodyB
in its dubious wisdomY
led to yoursO
you mayG2
puzzle outH2
this mystery in your turnV
Choose mind choose bodyB
choose to wed the twoL
many have triedM
but few have done the deedI2
-
Through you perhapsO
I may at last succeedI2
