Another Language Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFEGGHIJ KLMNAOOPQKAA RGAGSBTJAJ

The whole world is flatA
I am roundB
Even women avert their eyesC
men embarrassedD
by the messy wayE
that life turns into lifeF
look awayE
forgetting they themselvesG
were once this roundnessG
underneath the heartH
this helpless fishI
swimming in eternityJ
-
The sound of OK
not the sound of IL
embarrasses the worldM
My friends who voluntarily have madeN
their bodies flatA
their writings flat as griefO
look at me in disbeliefO
What is this large unseemly thingP
a pregnant poetQ
an enormous walking OK
Oh take all the letters of the alphabet but thatA
We speak the Esperanto of the flatA
-
Condemned to signR
language silence pregnant poemsG
for men to snicker atA
for women to denounceG
I live aloneS
My world is roundB
bounded by the mountain of my fearT
while all the great geographers agreeJ
the world is flatA
roundness cannot beJ
