| - | |
| I must invoke thee for my spirit's good | B |
| And prove myself un guilty of the crime | C |
| Of mere self seeking though with this imbued | D |
| I sing as sings the mavis in a wood | B |
| Content to be alive at harvest time | C |
| Had I its wings I should not be withstood | B |
| But I will weave my fancies into rhyme | C |
| And greet afar the heights I cannot climb | C |
| I will invoke thee Love though far away | E |
| And pay thee homage as becomes a knight | F |
| Who longs to keep his true love in his sight | F |
| Yea I will soar to thee in roundelay | G |
| In shine and shower and make a bold assay | H |
| Of each fond hope to compass thee aright | F |
