A Ballad Of Kisses Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBCC A DEDEE A FGHGG

IA
-
There are three kisses that I call to mindB
And I will sing their secrets as I goC
The first a kiss too courteous to be kindB
Was such a kiss as monks and maidens knowC
As sharp as frost as blameless as the snowC

-
The second kiss ah God I feel it yetD
And evermore my soul will loathe the sameE
The toys and joys of fate I may forgetD
But not the touch of that divided shameE
It clove my lips it burnt me like a flameE

-
The third the final kiss is one I useF
Morning and noon and night and not amissG
Sorrow be mine if such I do refuseH
And when I die be love enrapt in blissG
Re sanctified in Heaven by such a kissG
